Sun-lovers will want to visit sometime between May and September when temperatures are ideal for relaxing on the beach. Be advised that July and August are the two busiest months of the year in Barcelona, so if you want to visit when things are a bit quieter you may want to avoid these months. The primary airport serving the city of Barcelona is Barcelona-El Prat International Airport located 12km outside the city. The airport is Europe’s seventh busiest and offers flights all over the globe including flights to and from the UAE. The only direct flight from UAE is via Emirates who operate flights from Dubai International Airport. The airport’s close proximity to the city center makes it quick and easy to get into the city, although renting a car in Barcelona is also an option.
