Why You Should Visit New Delhi
Vibrant Delhi is a city of contrasts and contradictions. The ultra-wealthy live in a city with extreme poverty creating a diverse mix of cultures and sights. Shiny contemporary Delhi has malls and bars and cafes where you can buy the finest local crafts, fashions and cuisines. It is a city of bewildering chaos, people, traffic and color. Tuk tuks weave in and out of brave pedestrians and cattle while motorbikes and cars hoot their horns incessantly. In among all this there are peaceful green parks in which to escape the noise, stunning architecture and calming temples to visit. The city boats many excellent museums and more than enough bazaars and markets for bargain hunters. The charm of Old Delhi is in its crumbling facades, narrow winding streets and local life very much in view. If you can think of no other reason to visit Delhi, the fact that is has some of the best street food on earth should be enough.
