Arriving In Dubai
Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) are the two main airports serving Dubai. Dubai International Airport is the busiest airport in Dubai consisting of three passenger terminals. When you have arrived at the airport you can travel into the center of Dubai using the Dubai metro network which is connected to Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, while those at Al Maktoum International Airport can easily flag down a taxi to get to your destination directly. Car rental in Dubai is also an extremely popular option.
The amenities available at Dubai International Airport are among the most extensive and luxurious in the world with a huge range of designer shops, restaurants and cafés available to travelers, while you won’t be disappointed with what is on offer at Al Maktoum International Airport either. Al Maktoum International Airport is an airport still growing by the year, so you will find a lot of new amenities and services coming to the airport in due time.
If you are looking for flights to Dubai from the UAE you will be able to travel directly out of Ras al Khaimah with Gryphon Airlines. Currently this is the only domestic flight route available going to Dubai from within the UAE. All flights will arrive at Dubai International Airport, the primary airport in Dubai.
Dubai Travel Information
You won’t need a visa in order to travel to Dubai as a UAE national as you are on a domestic route, while the weather in the city is pretty much identical to the rest of the country with very hot summers and warm winters. You can rely on Dubai’s extensive public transport network which includes the Dubai Metro in order to explore the city, although there are car rental companies available at both airports if you want to drive your own vehicle around.
