Awesome experience

Our stay was wonderful the front desk employees were wonderful and always willing to help
We stayed in one of the wolves cabins
Wowza what a beautiful cabin super clean and the bed was super comfortable the in floor heating was nice and cozy the view for looking at the wolves was perfect we stayed in cabin 309. We got woken up to the wolves howling at 6:45 am and what an experience
The food in the restaurant was amazing
The Nordic bath was also a great experience
The only problems we had was that I had tried to book a few weeks before to get a pedicure but there was no appointments available ( my fault for waiting so long to book )
The other thing was we went through so many keys our door lock wasn’t working so good. It was blowing snow and lightly snowing and we found the grounds were not well up kept (walkway and parking ) we never saw anyone plowing or maintaining the grounds. I would suggest leaving a shovel at the cabins.
Would most definitely stay again

Thank you for your positive review.Leaving a shovel is a good idea and will have it done.Hopefully the guest will not have to use it.Equipment breakdown sometimes happens when you need it the most.We have since purchased a secondary loader

Amazing stay for Husbands Birthday

Such a wonderful experience!!! In my husband’s words this is one of the best things we have done. We came to celebrate his birthday and it was beyond his expectations. The staff are amazing – from the front desk with Nicole and Michaela (sorry if I missed spelled your name), to Chandee in the dining room, everyone we met were great. We stayed in one of the wolf cabins for 2 nights and it was just what we needed after the busy holiday season. It was quiet, serene and we spent so much time just watching the wolves in their own habitat. The cabin was awesome with the glassed in bedroom, the bathroom had the most wonderful rain fall shower. Food was excellent at the Steakhouse. Would highly recommend!!!

Sleeping with wolves gone wrong

My boyfriend and myself decided to book a wolf cabin for our 1 year anniversary. We travelled from out of town and overall the experience was awesome until our last night - we were awoken by the wolves fighting around 2am. They had hit our glass walls mauling a fellow wolf of the pack - Luna. Stormy and Diesel (2 wolves from Luna’s litter) attempted to stop the mauling but a larger alpha wolf stoped them. Luna had hung around the cabin next to ours so I had grown fond of her. Luna, Diesel, and Stormy are significantly smaller compared to the other wolves. Luna ended up being killed by the 8 other wolves, we watched this happen and it was quite traumatizing and emotionally/morally distressing - they all surrounded and chewed at her while she yelped. When reporting this to the front desk there was little to no care that one of their own wolves had been killed. It just didn’t sit right with me, I don’t think the wolves should be killing each other and it worries me for Stormy and Diesel’s future. In the morning before we left, one of the alpha wolves began eating Luna along with the crows. Needless to say I will not be returning, which is unfortunate as the rest of our stay was lovely. The wolf cabin itself is very nice - heated floors in the bedroom and bathroom, adjustable remote/massage bed, rainfall shower. Restaurant was great - food was delicious! The wilderness tour was very cool as well, we fed Elk and Bison and went around the opposite side of the wolf enclosure.

We are sorry you had to witness such an event. It was reported to me at 8.30 that morning and I responded immediately. We took the injured animal out of the enclosure .I am sorry the front desk did not show any emotion as I do every thing I can to give these animal the care that is needed.Wolves can be very dangerous to themselves why we feed them every day so to try an avoid conflicts.I am happy you enjoyed the wold Cabin amenities and the wilderness tour
