The service was helpful. The facilities were great. I enjoyed having the full breakfast every morning. The Wifi service was spotty.

The hotel itself is OK. What spoiled the impression is the lack of professionalism of the reception staff. In the hotel there are the people speaking good English, but they were absent when we checked-in and out. As a result it took 30 minutes to be checked-in and 40 minutes to be checked-out. But the worst thing was that the girl at the reception (don't remember her name, it was the evening of January, 25, 2024) refused to give us the reporting documentation. She had to do it when we demanded the manager speaking good English or the director to come out. With the help of the manager we got the documents we needed. And then, to take revenge, when we went by taxi to the airport to fly home, she (the receptionist) called the police, gave them our taxi details and we were stopped on the way by the police, who took us to the police station and checked our passports, visas, air tickets and what not. At last they let us go. We were lucky to catch our flight. But due to this accident this final stop at this hotel and 'the communication" with the policemen before flying home became a great disapointment of China for us...

This was our first visit to this Hotel, in short succession.
We loved visiting this Hotel, especially as we enjoyed good service during our previous visits.
On this specific visit, we did however not receive the service, that one would expect from an International Hotel Brand.
We tried to order some "Room Service" for lunch on Saturday, I dialed "Room Service" and "0" from the phone in our room, but to no avail, the call went unanswered, despite numerous attempts.
Our day was spoiled, as we now had to leave the hotel, to find lunch elsewhere. We ended up walking to the mall nearby.
I find this to be unacceptable, dining and room service, are basic services at most reputable hotels.
I was only asdisted by the Hotel, after I had reported my concerns to Trip.com
"I find this to be extremely disappointing, yet again".
Lydia "Office Manager", did her best to apologize for the lack of service, that we received during this visit. And assured us that we would receive better service in future.
Further to this incident, we received poor service from the staff at the Swimming Pool area as well.
"The could not provide us with something as basic as a bath towel".
I do however doubt that we would be returning to this hotel, as this was an extremely disappointing stay.
I mentioned my concerns to Lydia, as we don't understand how service levels can decline in such a short period of time.
We loved visiting this Hotel, especially as we enjoyed good service during our previous visits.

We visit the Four Points by Sheraton, in Gu'an Langfang often.
This was a particularly special visit, as there were numerous events to celebrate.
Namely "Mid Autumn Festival", "National Day" and my Birthday coincided during this period.
This Hotel is without a doubt the best Hotel, not only in Gu'an, but in Langfang as well.
The "Eatery Restaurant", plays a vital role in the success of this Hotel.
I often say this when visiting a great Hotel or Restaurant, it's the "Team", whom makes the establishment a success.
The "New" pastry cheff, is truly a great asset to the Restaurant and Hotel.
His pastries are of exceptional standard, and the variety is huge "unlike the sister Hotel's Restaurant, The Sheraton", whom barely have any pastries or desert on offer.
Without the right team in place, the business can and will, never be truly successful.
Especially, in the current highly competitive market.
As a former "Regional Retail Manager", with over 15 years of Management experience, I can't help but observe and analyze certain businesses.
Being University Qualified in "Customer Relationship Management" and "Retail Management", I appreciate High levels of Customer service.
The success of this Hotel and Restaurant, lies in it's team, and their hard work and dedication.
True "Managers", lead from the front, and set an example to their staff.
As the case with "Samuel" the General Manager, whom always assists his team on the floor.
The same can be said for "Marcus" the Restaurant Manager, whom is always "hands on" and working hard on the floor.
Such "leadership" sets the tone, for a great team as it will filter down to staff on all levels.
Special thanks to "Lydia" the Office Manager, for always being willing to assist in ensuring that guests receive the absolute best, during their stay.
Lydia is always courteous and professional.
As always, "Marcus" the Restaurant Manager, treated us with extreme courtesy and hospitality.

Thank you to "Molly" from the Restaurant, whom assisted us with with room service, as well as in the Restaurant.
It's also note worthy to mention, that it's not only the "Management Team", whom deserve praise.

Perhaps, "Marriott" should consider, having this Hotel's "sister" Hotel, "The Sheraton, Chaobai River Hotel's Management and Team, learn about "Hospitality and Service", from this Hotel "Four Points by Sheraton, Gu'an Langfang".
As in my opinion, the "The Sheraton, Chaobai River Hotel's Management" is not on standard.
The facilities at the Four Points by Sheraton, Gu'an, Lanfang, are on International standard.
We always enjoy the Swimming Pool, Lobby Lounge and Outdoor Deck, during our stay.
The "Alpacas" are truly amazing creatures and are well taken care of.
They truly make guests' stay, more enjoyable.
We can highly recommend the Four Points by Sheraton, Gu'an Langfang, to all visitors, "Foreign, and Domestic".
This is still our favorite destination, in Gu'an / Langfang and surrounding areas.

We used to enjoy visiting this Hotel, however, it's simply not worth the effort, as far as I am concerned.
The location is not convenient, and travel arrangements should be made with that in mind.
The Restaurant's food can simply not match that of it's sister brand, The Sheraton.
The rooms are adequate, yet aged, thus you have to align your expectations in this regard.
As mentioned in my previous review, it's highly unlikely that we would visit again.
There are simply too many other establishments to choose from.
