very nice guest house
breakfast is rather basic, but it's free of charge. and you can have cereals, tea and coffee, sandwich...
quite far from center, but we took tram 12 which is 7 minutes by walk.
host is nice and helpful! wecame late, around 10 p.m. (informed Silva in advance), she was waiting for us to open front door and give us the keys to our room.

Fabulous!!!! 10 out of 10.
To get here, there are two buses - 49 and 50 to Ksirova (a request stop) one minute from Komarov which is also the terminus for the 12 tram from Brno train station.
There are no shops in the immediate vicinity but there is a Lidl store 2 stops down on the tram or the bus.
We would definitely stay here again. A small farm with some deer, pigs, horses, sheep and chickens at the end of the street.

Friendliest owner ever...what a great experience :-)
The apartment itself is basic, but modern and clean. The breakfast was prepared each day for us and we went downstairs whenever we were ready. Continental of course, but a lovely selection of meat, cheese, bread, cereal etc. We enjoyed it.
So what about the area itself? It's quiet and there's a lovely little urban zoo behind the apartments - you can walk through there free of charge. There are all sorts of animals in there - go and have a look!
You can actually walk along the riverside all the way into the centre - if you're from the UK then it's not as pretty, but remember the history of this part of the world - there's a lot of concrete! We enjoyed the walk though as the path was well maintained and lots of cyclists and rollerbladers used it. One of the best parts of the trip for us as we enjoy exploring.
Sadly I picked up a diarrhoea and sickness bug so one day was wiped out for me, but once again my host came to the rescue. She let us stay until the evening flight home and even offered to bring medicine! Such a kind lady :-)
We mainly ate in Brno centre itself but there was a little burger place nearby which looked like a British roadside cafe, but don't judge by looks - the burger was superb!
So thanks to you Silva for making our first trip on our own to your country a good one :-)
