Beware the pricey breakfast buffet
Clean, spacious rooms in house that is historic because it survived the 1945 bombing. Basic room rates very reasonable. Excellent location for train travellers close to main station and trams to both old town and Neustadt.
What's not so good?
What appear to be minimal staffing levels - often no-one on reception; and when we arrived 15 minutes after reception had closed - having 'phoned ahead to warn the hotel of our late arrival because of a train delay - the person who greeted us had difficulty with the hotel's computer. At first he insisted that we had only booked one room for our party of three; and only relented when I showed him the hotel's e-mail confirmation of a booking for two rooms.
Breakdown in hot water system - quickly fixed but no back-up.
Over-priced breakfast - from an adequate but pretty standard buffet - with separate charge for coffee!

Great hotel very friendly
I really have to say it's a very clean hotel and it looks nice.
The breakfast is great and there's a huge selection. You can always get fresh eggs and fried eggs here.
The employee who makes breakfast is very friendly and helpful.
The employee gives us tips on what we can do in Dresden, really great.
The hotel is right next to the train station and the city center.
I would personally like to thank the friendly employees at this hotel.
We'll be back, that's for sure
