Recommended

With 36 motorcyclists a three days stayed in this beautiful hotel. Good rooms with modern sanitary facilities.
Great food, both dinner and rich breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. Smooth service.
Around the corner is a small supermarket, bank and gas station. Nearby are other beautiful places, such as Cochem

Not quite a successful end to the week

Room newly renovated, but unfortunately a bit dusty. Ventilation and heating system made very loud noises at night. We were then given another room, clean, no noise, but unfortunately no hot water at 7:30 in the morning. Despite all the inconveniences, we had to pay the full price. Service is different.

The room was clean, but the mini fridge was left unplugged and someone left food in it so it continued to make the room smell horrible. We had to wait a while at the front desk, because the lady was outside and didn’t hear the bell ring multiple times. Didn’t like that the door was a key. So if there’s more than one person staying and someone left and the other stayed, the other was locked in basically. Wish we were able to use the spa but nothing showed how, and waiting at the front desk was a nightmare.

Won't come to their restaurant again!

Please note I am only rating their restaurant and didn't experience their hotel. I came here for dinner during my stay as I was looking for new options in the area. First surprise when I arrived, the room was freezing cold. I had to keep my jacket for about 20 minutes as it was not possible to stay otherwise. Luckily, the lady noticed and turned on the heating behind me. There was a grumpy guy sitting in there, not sure what he was doing but just seemed annoyed- then started to ask personal questions...(?!). Anyway, I ordered the wildragout with some spätzles and, the time that I wrote a text, boom! My dish was already there!! I had never experienced that before...I guess everything was just thrown in my plate, then directly in the microwave, meaning my spätzles were clearly warmed up for the second or third time and crispy lol. The ragout was nice but there was only a few pieces of meat for a lot of sauce. The dessert was a homemade parfait with red fruits, consisting in a lot of ice crystals with a red fruit taste. The bill came to around 30€. I am sorry but no, the entire stuff was just unprofessional and money making like. Never again!

A home away from home

Me and the girlfriend wanted to get away from the busy life and decided to visit the Vulcanic region of the German part of the Eifel region. Staying in this family owned hotel was a great choice. We were lucky to get a free upgrade to a junior suite which was pretty big, newly decorated, cool and big. The 'matre' of the hotel ML (initials? Really made us feel welcome and she always listened to our wishes and then some. Always cheerful and busy to make the visitors comfortable.
The village has a supermarket and bakery very near the hotel
And an Irish pub down the road with good dishes, cider, beers, whiskies and good music.
