Still ok for a stop-over
As a contrast, the entire staff is extremely friendly and helpful.
The hotel is centrally located in the city center opposite the market square. Many things are therefore easily accessible on foot. However, the noise pollution is high, even at night (at least on weekends).
The room was clean and everything worked. As mentioned, the furnishings are stuck in the 80s (including the radio in the bedside table). The minibar was not full. There was no kettle or even a coffee machine. The number of sockets was just about OK and the wifi usually worked well. The room did not have air conditioning and due to the background noise, even late at night, a restful sleep was out of the question. This may be different in winter.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Due to our early arrival, our room was cleaned earlier.
The reception is not open 24 hours a day. Please note this when you arrive.
The hotel restaurant was closed, but there are plenty of alternatives within walking distance. The breakfast buffet was OK, but like everything else, it's out of date.

Central with helpful friendly staff.
Unfortunately, when I was there coincided with some sort of conference and I had to make do with a small single-bedded room. However, despite it overlooking the main square, it was never noisy.
I stayed six nights and throughout I always felt welcomed by the management and staff. The next time I am in the area I will stay there again.
