Exceptional

Stayed elsewhere (we have stayed here and cannot fault it at all) so were just here daily for food in August 2024. Nine of us, food was beautiful every day, the stuffed vine leaves are honestly amazing! You just cannot beat the location, food on the beach but under a cover to take advantage of the shade if you wan to. Service is wonderful, food and drinks are great, prices are extremely reasonable and portions are large. We have been coming here since 2012 in various forms, as family groups, singly, work parties - always perfect. Really looking forward to seeing everyone again in June this year. It always feels like coming home. Arriving by motorbike June 10th this year - see you for breakfast then!

Great beachfront hotel

Hotel directly on the beach with deck chairs and umbrellas with free access.
We had a rather large room with balcony and sea view
The restaurant offers Breakfast lunch and dinner, but not included in the price
We had breakfast and lunch every day. Typical products including extraordinary non-industrial yogurt. Dinner in Heraklion which is 15 minutes drive

The BEST staff

Lovely food and very nice staff! Pretty view. We only wanted a fruit salade and this is what they gave us! A whole plate! Sooooo nice! We didn’t stay here at the hotel but we came here to have some lunch! But if you are somewhere in Amadoura, come here for the lovely people!

Nice family or couple hotel right on the beach with need for optimization in terms of tavern (food was great though)

Nicely located small hotel with many options for day activities. Very family friendly and approachable staff/counter and kitchen team.
Directly by the sea and yet not remote or overflowing.
No airplane noise.
The food was excellent and I think the skills of the chef would be fully used (giving him more free rein), there is still real room for improvement here.
However, two points are to be called "negative".
1.
Because in contrast to the quality and taste of the food are the apparently "diced" prices (e.g. pizza with everything the kitchen has 9,50 € or really good gyros 10,50 € vs small snack/feta cheese/frying goods/Tzarziki 6,50 € - 8,50 €). Only the ancient Greek gods truly understand the pricing in the menu.
2.
Apparently, the tavern is closed every day at 00.00 due to wealth, no matter how many people are still sitting at the tables.
We would have liked to have stayed longer by the beautiful night sea, but while life was still raging next door we had to go to bed.
