Value for money and in a quieter area of Plaka Beach
The lady on site was wonderful and allowed me to check in early and check out late, which really helped with my travel times. She also arranged a cab and was very welcoming!
Really good value for money with a lovely experience for that price and it's really close to the sea. No places are ON the sea in Plaka btw, they are all a bit of a walk back from the beach.
My room was clean, with a fridge and stove top kettle pot for boiling water. A lovely view from the top balcony too.
I did smell the sewerage smell a bit, however I think that's due to the plumbing on the whole island, where you can't flush loo paper. Probably some people do, which then caused issues?
The water was a bit chilly to swim, however the two days that weren't too windy were lovely enough to sit on the beach (end September).
Nearby Medusa Hotel offers breakfast at 7 EUR for yogurt and fruit, with coffee.
If you are on a budget, don't mind walking and prefer peace and quiet- this is a good option.
The construction sites mentioned in other posts are due to the crisis where building came to a halt.
I would recommend that you have a car on Naxos, as there is lots to see and the cost of a taxi to and from the airport was 25 EUR and 30 EUR, respectively (4km...)
