Excellent Stay at Mahabodhi Retreat!
Experience was awesome, right from the booking process till we checked out. We Stayed there for 3nights/days and could have easily stayed for a week.
They also arranged candle night dinner for our parents 39th Anniversary at reasonable price. I'm forgetting the names but entire staff including reception, house keeping to restaurant did their best to make our stay a memorable one.
The property is huge and you won't feel like going outside. You get soothing poolside, and greenery all around. My favourite place was watching ducks and listening birds chirping out loud. You end up feeling that you are at a hill station not a crowded and hot city like Gaya.
In today's age, hotels have to be pet friendly. It's almost a crime to not allowed pets. Here Sambodhi stand apart in entire state. Hope others learn quickly.
We stayed at VIP green cottage which is well designed and sufficient for a family of 5-6. There were minor glitches like hot water not working, but it was fixed as soon as we pointed it out.
Location wise the resort is away from city hustle and just 15 mins drive from main Mahabodhi Temple in Bodh Daya.
I would highly recommend it to everyone visiting Bodh Gaya or travelling across Rajgir - Gaya tourist belt.
