Overall, I had a good and comfortable stay. Facilities above par for the price I paid
The hotel is about 2km from Rajkot Junction Railway Station and is walkable if you had the mindset for it. The hotel is easy to find, but the alleyway where the hotel is located has a foreboding look about it. It’s safe, but I’m not sure that a women traveling would want to walk down the alleyway at night.
Check-in was a bit confusing. They gave me a room, but told me I’d likely have to move to another one later, so I decided to leave my bag and not unpack. This was fine because it just meant that I could go out, and see some sights before coming back to the hotel. When I did come back about 4 hours later, I did have to change rooms, so it was a good thing I didn’t unpack.
The room I got was a double, non A/C with a fan. The room was spacious with a double bed. The sheets and pillows looked clean, but worn. That’s only to be expected in a budget hotel. The bathroom was about what I expected for a budget hotel, clean functional and looked in good condition. There was hot water most of the time, even when it wasn't hot, it was good enough for a shower.
The hotel does offer free WiFi, but it's largely inaccessible on the second floor where my room was. Definitely not on a mobile, although the signal is strong enough for a laptop. No problem using the WiFi on the ground floor.
The staff really need to learn to smile and show a little bit of friendliness. Looking all soured faced does nothing for customer service, even if it’s just a budget hotel. Although they did start to smile a lot more towards the end of the stay (because I'm leaving?).
Location wise, the hotel is close to all the main sights in the city. Rajkot is not that big. There's also a few restaurants and lots of shops around the hotel, so food should not be a problem.
Overall, I had a good and comfortable stay. The standard and facilities were above par for a budget hotel in India. The service needs a bit of work, but the staff do their job.

Nice for one night stay
No elevator, but the staff would carry your luggage. The bathroom latch was broken from inside so we couldn’t lock it from inside. Not a huge problem though.
The only thing which was weird was the fact that the room had a two-way switch for light but both the switches were far away from bed. So you’d have to get up from the bed anyway. All in all a good, clean space for a night halt.
The hotel is a bit difficult to locate. The local vendors, even in 100 metres vicinity, don’t seem to know the hotel. Don’t get scared seeing the ‘Mahashakti Rajputana pure non-veg lodge’ board like we did initially. Its a separate lodge with same name situated right next to the hotel.
