Historic hotel in the middle of a delightful village

Historic hotel located in the center of a delightful village. Very nice hotel attentive to hygiene and cleanliness. Really convenient location. Once out you have everything at hand from bars to restaurants and shops for typical products. Really recommended!!!

Situated almost in the middle of the city centre. Limited opening hours. Nice staff when there but only Italian spoken.

refused a reserved room

i made a reservation at this hotel for April 26 to 28 of April. I was visiting Este for nostalgic reasons as my deceased father had been there in WW 2 chasing the German troops from the town. Upon arriving at reception i was greeted in Italian by a some what rude clerk who said something derogatory about the booking service . Yelled Fulla Fulla at me in Italian and showed me the door. I was left at 4.30 pm to scratch around to find a bed for the night. I understand overbooking but if that happens a host should do what they can to help find a bed for the night. Very unpleasant experience

Clean, practical hotel in the main square

Hotel Centrale is located right in the main square of Este just steps from many lively cafes, pubs and restaurants. The hotel is clean and the bathroom in our room was recently renovated. The decor is a bit outdated, but completely fine. The breakfast was nothing special, better to go out to one of the cafes nearby. There is some noise from the square at night, but with earplugs we slept fine. Good value for the money.

Under new managment

The Hotel Centrale, centrally located as its name indicates, has undergone capital restorations, just about finished.
Everything is spanking new and the wi fi works nicely. Same goes for the elevator. Matresses are good. What else? No Food section yet but plenty of bars and eateries around. Este is a charming town of the Veneto, not spoiled and full of character, has a first rate national Museum of Antiquities splendidly appointed and excellent restaurants (see my reviews as well).
The most remarcable feature of the hotel, though, are the owners who step in to help at every stage.I was here for a convention but might return just for the fun of it
