A little gem in Luang Prabang
Breakfast was a real delight, with varied, fresh and perfectly presented dishes, and the hotel restaurant offered tasty Laotian cuisine in an elegant and warm setting.
We also enjoyed the facilities, including the pool, ideal for relaxing after a day of exploring. The hotel offers very convenient services, such as a free shuttle to the city center and bicycles available to explore Luang Prabang at your own pace.
The staff, always welcoming and attentive, made our stay even more enjoyable. The Sen Boutique Hotel is a real haven of peace that we recommend without hesitation!

Such a lovely place!
Every corner of this place is well managed, from the servings of their complimentary tea, the cleanliness of their transport vehicle, the way they serve their food,… the tiny details! Most of all, their staff is great!
To think that this is not even our first choice. We only booked this hotel while waiting to transfer to our first choice, which was a little disappointing. If I’ve known we should have just stayed here instead of transferring, But, I am leaving this review now, hoping that just like us, you’ll find it too! Thanks to TripAdvisors!

Wonderful Boutique Hotel in Luang Prabang
We arrived by train and had arranged a hotel pickup (charged) - 30 min transfer. There were plenty of taxis/buses at the station but this was just easy and convenient; it was waiting for us on our arrival and we were soon at the hotel.
There is a tranquil ambience to the hotel. Behind reception, rooms are laid out around a minimalist court yard garden with a pool; the restaurant is located at the rear of the garden. There is also a gym on site too.
We reserved the only villa room, which was perfect ; it totally met our expectations - spacious, comfortable, very clean and well appointed. The room is located at the back of the hotel in its own private garden with various seating options. There is an outdoor shower and bath - not overlooked but privacy curtains were installed too, if you felt you needed them.
The restaurant/bar was excellent with good food options all day. Breakfast is served there too with some nice western/local options to choose from; chicken pho in the morning was a treat. On arrival, we were also given a ticket for a complimentary ‘afternoon tea’ which was a pleasant bonus. We used this later in our stay and enjoyed some local sweet/savoury treats along with green tea.
The hotel is not in the main tourist part of the city but this wasn’t a problem, it was nice to be in a ‘local area’. You can easily walk to the centre and we frequently walked back in the evening through the quiet residential streets; you can also grab a tuk-tuk too. The hotel also offer a complimentary shuttle to anywhere in the centre as well, which was great for getting going in the morning.
The service throughout was exceptional, all the staff were very gracious, friendly, and guest focused.
To sum up, the Le Sen exudes quality and we loved staying here; it is simply great. We have no hesitation recommending it and hope to stay here again in future.
