A little overrated reputation...
Disappointing breakfast buffet.
We did not eat at the restaurant because very expensive for what it is.

Very professional staff and attentive to any request!
Stay of 3 days / 2 nights very exotic: swimming pool, sauna, hammam, tepidarium and lake...
Dinners with succulent dishes, inventive cuisine, beautiful presentations and very good advice from Richard for wines!

What a Gem of a Hotel!
First, Christophe answered all of my questions and concerns about visiting Luxembourg in the weeks/months before the trip. He also provided me with unternet links so I could arrange winery tours in the local area.
We found our rooms clean, spacious, and quiet. The breakfast buffet was outstanding!
And because of the birthday celebration, we booked the gourmet wine dinner (paired with local wines with every course) to be exquisite (From my research, Hotel la Foret is the only local hotel which offers a room rate complete with gourmet dinner/breakfast.
Finally, besides Christophe, I found everyone of he hotel staff to be friendly and welcoming.
All in all a most wonderful experience, from first to last.

We will return without hesitation!
The traffic noise did not bother us at all.
To emphasize: when we came back wet after a hike and it was raining very hard, the young man of the reception, went out to offer us to come change dry and lent us towels (we had already left the Pension). Good example of professionalism.
We'll go back, probably half board.
