Don’t have to go too far for a great time
Shampoo and body wash and hairdryer in the room. I thought we were supposed to have fridge in the room which is the only thing it need. Free ticket to the Aqualuna beach club was fabulous and made for a great weekend away.
Amazingly comfortable bed and pillows so slept well. The transfer from the airport was 30mins so if you want a getaway for the weekend it is perfect.
Good and drink at the aqualuna was delicious and a reasonable cost.

Lovely stay!
Pros:
- The FOH staff were helpful and accommodating at all times. Super friendly.
- Huge room! Much bigger than we expected and lots of room to have our luggage about. There’s 2 balconies though our room didn’t have the best view. For context we booked the Deluxe Room.
- The furniture was modern and aesthetically pleasing.
- Controversial but I loved the separate shower and toilet each with sinks. As there were 2 of us this was super useful when getting ready in the morning.
- The location is superb. This was my second time in Malta and I would 100% recommend this area for tourism. It is always lively outside so you never feel unsafe. There are SO many shops and restaurants around, almost too much choice! It’s a quick bolt/uber drive to Valletta (~€6-€9) or 1 bus. It’s also fairly easy to navigate the rest of the island via taxi or bus. Easier by taxi for this area. It’s close to Sliema, St. Julian’s, a lovely strip. I genuinely loved every bit of it!
- Breakfast is so affordable yet is still the same standard as other hotels I’ve stayed in Malta - hot (English) breakfast, salad, fruits, cereals, lovely teas and coffees and lovely mini bakes.
- A good selection of English TV Channels for different cultures as well as the ability to cast onto the tv which was so useful as we could watch Netflix, prime etc.
- great WiFi.
- The AC/Heating worked decently, could be warmer.
- Rooms cleaned every day!
Cons
- There was a strange drainage smell that we would sometimes smell from time to time. This was something I also noticed in my second hotel so not sure if this was a Malta issue! It would sometimes be very unpleasant though
- The housekeeping staff were hard to communicate with and would always remove our electricity key from our room, that was very strange!
- It can be quite easy to get pulled in by all the tourism businesses around so beware! We paid €80 for 2 tix to Gozo when we later found we could’ve used Gozo fast for €24! Do extensive research.
- The lift would sometimes be a bit dodgy and wouldn’t read our card or would stop working. Didn’t bother us too much though.
All in all this was a lovely stay and I would 110% book it again especially if they are able to fix the small issues and maintain the quality and aesthetics of what was provided.
