It does not get better

Having visited Maputo several times I was prepared for another bad experience when it comes to accomodation in that City. The more pleasant was the surprise I got, when I arrived at Wonna bay Villa. The host was made me instantly feel welcome and at home. All the star was very helpful and friendly, and assisted where ever possible, even organising a telephone card and some shopping.
The airport is about 1/2h away and easy enough to find. We, 4 couples and myself, had the entire first floor for ourselves. The rooms where spotless, the air-condition working perfect we had a fridge to our disposal and even had our dinner on the veranda with Maputo bay view and sunset in palm trees.
I can really say the nicest acc. in the 10 days in Mozambique

A lovely little escape…

My husband and I stayed one night for our anniversary and every detail was seen to, the place is clean and staff are extremely on point and attentive. Food is delicious and they have a fabulous wine selection! Garden is beautiful and people are just nice and friendly. A fabulous stay - thank you!

A safe heaven in Katembe!

Katembe is known for its beach restaurants but since the opening of the bridge, those restaurants are under assault. It is time to discover new places, not on the beach front, but not far either and quieter. Wonna Bay Vila is one of them. Located on the main road, next to the Notario Público, this restaurant offers inside and outside sitting, a playground for kids and a swimming pool for its guests. The restaurant is spacious and offers plenty of space for groups and families. The menu presents lots of seafood, but also pizzas and Mozambican dishes on prior order. The service is attentive. The owner is in the kitchen and the food is delicious. It should be mentioned that Wonna Bay Vila also offers bed and breakfast in 9 nicely decorated rooms and an apartment that can serve as a meeting room for conferences or retreats. The rooms have a large terrace with a beautiful sea view. A new place in Katembe that is worth the detour!
