The better CenterParcs
We were looking for an alternative to the classic CenterParcs and found it here. The houses are modern and not yet so worn out, the park not excessively large, everything is clean and tidy. Swimming pool small but sufficient. The restaurant surprised us. Taste really top, but always very full, absolutely reserve. The small supermarket offers everything you need. The playgrounds were fun for the children.
We had a 4er house with outdoor kitchen, which we also used several times. Top! Unfortunately, the sauna in the house is also quite small for 2 people and hardly possible to lie down. Super annoying was the non-removable stair grill upstairs because always somehow in the way.
The small town of Thorn is very cute and almost all in white, but there is not much going on there.
Conclusion: Our children are 9 and 11 years old and don't need the constant fun of a CenterParc (anymore), so you can look for more pleasant alternatives and this one is one of them. We will definitely come back.

Very great park, highly recommended
Apartment houses are very centrally located, are great furnished and very clean. You feel right at home. Also the restaurant " Humphrey's" in the park is highly recommended, breakfast buffet is available even if you only go for breakfast for two and nobody else comes to it. The buffet left nothing to be desired. Thumbs up for this service

Top park, accommodations and great service!
Nice new park, 16 person house, spotless, unfortunately the heating did not work. Came quickly someone from the park, fan heat pump turned out broken. Without problem we were given 2 options for an equivalent house, bottles of wine an hour bowling and late check out to compensate! Great and what flexibility!
For the electric rider; at each cottage a charger (in the rental price) and several available at the park.

Wanneer er problemen zijn, dan meldt dit altijd bij de receptie, zodat we het zo snel mogelijk kunnen verhelpen. We willen graag dat iedereen een prettig verblijf heeft! My adventure in Thorn began with a little confusion. I had booked an apartment for six people through HomeToGo, but the confirmation emails came from Bungalow.net, a platform I was not familiar with. This gave me some uncertainty, especially since emails get spammed quickly nowadays and you don't always know if they're real.
On the day of arrival I received text messages with useful links to check in and access the barriers and the room door. Once we entered the park, I thought I had all the information I needed, but it turned out to be more difficult than expected. The signs didn't give any clear directions, so I asked a cleaner at the park for help. He eventually led us to the right place.
The park itself was beautiful. Everything was well maintained and clean. The villas were impressive, but the confusion continued when I arrived at our apartment. The link on my phone was supposed to open the door, but it didn't. Instead, I saw an "H" and an "A" on the door next to our house number. That seemed strange, so we decided to keep looking. Luckily we met a mechanic who explained us.
Turned out what? You could book both an apartment (A) and a hotel room (H), eventually I understood how the system worked.
When we finally entered the apartment, it was immediately noticeable that it was clean, spacious and well equipped. There was a cosy living room with a staircase leading to a bedroom with en suite bathroom. There was also a second bedroom with private bathroom and a spacious balcony with heater. The amenities were excellent, with everything you needed: a dishwasher, freezer, plates, cutlery etc.
Nevertheless, there were minor inconveniences. For example, the cot I had reserved was not in the apartment. Also the wifi connection was not always optimal.
After a while I decided to examine the other door in the hall as well. Pressing the button on my phone opened the door.
This room was in fact a spacious hotel room with a large bathroom and a bedroom that was fully equipped and fire clean.
Negatives were:
That the bed was shielded with wooden panels, so you can not comfortably watch TV because you look between wooden bars.
The mattress was on the soft side, but the pillows were far too soft.
In addition, there was a small inconvenience: when the bathroom door was open and you entered the hotel room, the doors bumped into each other.
Another flaw was the check-out time: at 10 am you had to leave. This was way too early, especially after a relaxing stay.
At the barriers was a mailbox in which you could hand in your cards. No hassle with checking out at reception, which made checking out quick and easy.
Despite the confusion at first, it was a nice stay. The park was beautiful, the apartment (A) and hotel (H) was well equipped and super clean. I would definitely return, but then I would like to rent a villa.

Wel is het zo dat al onze accommodaties op het park qua indeling van de kamer/woning kunnen verschillen. Voor al onze accommodaties geld een uitcheck van 10 uur. Great, new, well-kept holiday complex with (some) houses right on the waterfront
We spent some great days with friends at the Maas residence Thorn. The complex is very nice, well maintained and extensive and each house is somewhat individual. We were in house number 175, which is right in front of the water and is in front of the other houses, so the neighbors can not look in so well and you have an unobstructed view. We had a great view of the water and over the harbour. At the front there was a small further terrace with sun loungers. This house also had a radiant heater for cooler evenings, which was very good for us. It was a twelve-person house and there were six of us here, so everyone had their own bedroom. The house was very cozy and we felt very comfortable here. The resort also offers a restaurant (very tasty), a supermarket and other facilities such as a swimming pool, bicycle rental and children's playground. When booking you can choose a house via the interactive map, which I would highly recommend, as the location of the house is absolutely crucial.
