Inn very nice and close to the plaza de armas.

We stayed seven nights and it was a good experience.
Spacious room, clean and comfortable bed. Large flat screen TV. Shower room large enough.
Hearty breakfast and varied kind staff of great kindness.
Well placed in a quiet alley.

They treated us horrible.

An embarrassment of Owner and his receptionist, we have been treated fatally.
The first night, one of the cisterns in the bathroom was not working, and the girl in the room was accused of having ruined it.
Afterwards, another of the rooms was accused of having stained a bathroom towel, and we wanted to charge for it without evidence and without having been us.
Also, at various times we had no hot water in the shower, and instead of apologizing we were told that it was impossible for that to happen.
We were told that on the days we had excursions very early in the morning we could prepare a takeaway snack instead of the breakfast we had paid for, and neither day agreed to do so.
But the biggest problem was when two days before we left the hotel we asked if they could keep our bags for a couple of days while we went on a field trip. First they told us that without problem, not to worry until the day of our departure, and when we wanted to leave them they asked us for a payment of 40 soles because yes, admitting that the rest of the guests had kept their bags for free but that they no longer had room.
All this resulted in a very intense discussion with the hotel worker, while the Owner did not deign to come and talk to us.
Eventually we had to leave our bags and pay elsewhere, but the whole situation was very uncomfortable.
After all the discussion without getting anywhere, we told him that we were going to put a bad review on all the platforms to warn of the treatment we had been given.
To my surprise, this morning I woke up with a change in the Reservation that I have not made, in which the dates have changed to the year 2025, so there is no longer any record that we have been there or can leave a review.
A hotel embarrassment.

Great service

Excellent service, more than satisfied. The people in charge have been very kind to us, they have kept our suitcases for two days while we took a tour to Puno at no cost.
Delicious breakfast, very comfortable beds, clean facilities

Pretty decent hostal.

The people were very helpful here. It is very close to the square but a little hard to find initially. The breakfast was just okay but still free. The hostal is very noisy, however. The walls are pretty thin so you can hear everything when people walk into the hostal, play music, etc. They only provided body towels and not hand towels or bath mats. They was a large TV with Netflix. It was fairly cheap for us so overall not a bad hostal.

Very good location
