Well-located and good value for money

Super cozy hotel in nice walking distance to everything in the city. Nice and clean rooms, nice and polite service and varied breakfast buffet. Located close to the city railway station and not far from huge shopping centers where you have all the shopping options.

Good central stay in Gdansk

Stay: 27-31/12/2024. No breakfast.
Pros:
- Large spacious room and bathroom, with minibar, very comfortable bed/mattress, coffee-making equipment, individual duvets
- Good soundproofing (windows gave out on the railway station to the rear): only the vague hum of general traffic and thrum of trains was audible (station is quite busy with traffic). No sounds from nearby rooms and corridor (though the hotel did not feel extremely busy)
- Quality finish in room, good heat insulation
- Helpful and friendly staff at reception, with excellent English
- Central location (practically 10mins walk to Świętego Ducha and 15 mins to the canals of Motlawa) with a lights crossing right outside and easy taxi access.
- Supermarket (Biedronka) right across the street, aside from the ubiquitous Zapka minimarkets.
Cons:
- We booked the room 4 months in advance, but were allocated an end-of-corridor disabled room with a wetroom, rather than shower cubicle, and with no curtain. A bit of a struggle to shower
- Elevator remained out of order for 2.5 days (incl. a Monday-Tuesday spell), which was not easy on my partner who had an operated knee (fortunately we were only 2 flights of stairs from exit)
- Coffee sachets in room were minuscule and only one pp
- There was a manually adjustable thermostat on the wall, but temperature adjustments did not store and temperature reverted to a centrally set 23 deg C.
- No sleeping pillows to choose from (1 sleeping pillow and 2 decorative cushions pp)
Overall: small (but important) details would have bumped this up to a 5* experience. Still very good for the money and would visit again.

99 per cent positive

No hotel is perfect but the only small negatives were the rubber pillows and having to negotiate nine steps of a staircase with a suitcase on arrival.
Overall the hotel delivered great value while the restaurant at which I enjoyed a beer and a good burger was also fine. A saxophonist played golden oldies.
The room was terrific: geneously sized with a single Queen mattress and top quality linen.
There were two bedside tables plus two armchairs complemented by a round table with a bottle of tap water.
The desk was very large as it contained a fridge with a stocked minibar. Tea, coffee and a kettle completed the setup.
A large wardrobe contained a safety deposit box.
The bathroom was top class with top to bottom heritage tiling in the shower, as well as it being a rainwater showering head, ensuring a luxurious experience.
Bodywash was in a bottle for the shower and separately for the handbasin.
The bathroom floor was heated, a rarity in hotels. Towels were not bath size, but satisfactory.
Lighting in both rooms was excellent and included gooseneck reading lsmps.
WiFi was fiddly to set up as one did it via the Smart TV but then worked without a hitch.
The TV had Euronews and France24 in English as well as CNN, but lacked the BBC.
This was a most enjoyable stay as Gdansk's main railway station entrance is 100 metres away, trams are adjacent, there is a supermarket across the tram tracks and the famed, rebuilt after WW11 Old Town is one tram stop away at Brama Wyzynna. Buy tram tickets including a 24 hour one for PLN23 from the Porter shop in the station subway.

Extraordinary hotel in a gorgeous town

The hotel is conveniently located, adjacent to the Gdansk train station (we arrived by train from Berlin). Check in was friendly, quick and efficient.
Our room was beautiful - spacious, charming with well-equipped. Very comfortable beds, and very quiet, despite the major road and ongoing repair works outside. The heated flooring in the bathroom was a great touch.
The hotel occupies a former brewery, so while they have retained many design elements, it has also been equipped with modern amenities. This was our best accommodation experience over 3 weeks of travel through Germany and Poland. Bravo!

A+

This particular establishment is the perfect blend of comfort and convenience. I must give it top marks for its prime location close to the central business district, public transportation, and the contemporary amenities featured in its quality rooms. I want to praise the impeccably clean surroundings and luxurious details, like heated bathroom floors, which fostered a welcoming atmosphere once I realised there was no fire in the room beneath me.
In the hotel restaurant, Caroline, Daria and Kasper offered high-quality service at the breakfast buffet and evening meals. Daria even remembered my room number after I told her just once, which was handy as I would have struggled to remember it without my morning coffee! I had a minor emergency on my first night when I realised at midnight that I had failed to pack an adapter, but Victoria went above and beyond to find a Polish-type plug that would allow me to charge my phone. Ella and Martyna were courteous at all times, too, with all staff being bilingual, as per my understanding of the word. Pavel, the handyman, was most helpful and soon resolved some technical difficulties I was having with the SmartTV.
