A last-minute stay. Quick, friendly check in. Comfortable room, a little dated, but it adds to its charm.

Never, ever

Not recommended .. 1 new floor for the rest very dated that smells of old .. zero cleaning they made only the beds, dirty sheets , they left the garbage bag closed in the room , do not sweep the sink still dirty with toothpaste when I pointed it out after half an hour someone came , on arrival we asked for a change of room but nothing and in the end after all the inconveniences they made us pay for the bottle of water , Bucharest has only the spa ... long live Italy and the Italians

Humiliating experience. Not a 4* hotel. Awful management and terrible breakfast

Missing bulbs in the bedside lamps: On the first day, I also informed the reception that the bulbs in the bedside lamps were missing. The receptionist seemed shocked and assured me that the issue would be resolved immediately.
However, the bulbs were never brought during the entire stay. I also took photos and videos of this issue.
Shower problems: The shower drain barely worked. This meant that every shower led to a flooded bathroom, and potentially the hotel room. I was instructed to place many towels on the floor and was even given a mop to deal with the water. Since the water took a while to heat up, I had to take cold and very quick showers to avoid flooding the room.
The bathroom door falling off: One of the most serious issues was that the bathroom door fell off, creating a dangerous and extremely embarrassing situation. Due to this incident, I had to deal with an open bathroom in my room, which significantly impacted my comfort and privacy. I must emphasize that the door simply fell when I opened it to go to the bathroom, and I had to jump out of the way.
Lack of timely solutions: Despite the numerous issues, I was only offered to move to another room on the morning of my last day, which shows a complete lack of interest in promptly resolving the situation.
Breakfast quality: I was deeply disappointed with the breakfast offered, which consisted of fried eggs and sausages every day, with no variation or additional options. This added to my overall frustration.
Staff behavior: The most disturbing part was the behavior of the receptionist, Florin, on the morning of my departure (and the day before).
He insinuated that the problem with the bathroom door was caused by me, suggesting that I had intentionally pulled on the door to break it. I consider this remark to be a serious insult, especially considering the door nearly hit me. Moreover, he did not even apologise for his insinuations. His comment, which I quote: "I heard from maintenance that the door didn't just fall on its own," was the final straw.
Until that morning, I had tried to stay optimistic and refrain from escalating the issue. However, this insinuation, in the context of the door almost hitting me, crossed any
limit.
The manger Lavinia had then reiterated in writing that I must have pulled the door off intentionally - completely disregarding my safety and my comments about my own safety. Emails can be sent to owner and higher management on request
The phone in the room did not work: On the first day, I noticed that the phone in the room was not working. I immediately reported this to the reception, but despite the promises made, the issue was not resolved during my entire stay. I also made a video recording to document this technical problem.

WE GOT RIPPED OFF WITH THE TRANSFER ON THE FIRST DAY

We stayed two families (two adults and one child each family), from 23 to 25 January 2025.
When we phoned to book directly we were informed that we had the possibility of having transfer to the hotel, price included in the reservation, so we confirmed the reservation with the transfer service.
On the 23rd when he came to pick us up the supposed “transfer” was a DACIA Logan passenger car for the two families, the driver, the two 20kg suitcases, and the six 10kg backpacks.
The driver told us that there was no problem and that we could all fit, so we were surprised, but he caught us offside because we were lying at 15h with a 7-year-old and we just wanted to get to the hotel, so we decided to accept the transfer.
The man took us to the hotel, and when we unloaded, we wanted to give him a €10 tip, when the man saw the €10 he told us that it was very little and that the journey was €50 and that we had to pay it.
When we entered the hotel and checked-in we told the receptionist and she told us that she didn’t know anything, that she would tell NICOLETTA that it was with whom we had made the reservation.
When we agreed with this NICOLETTA she told us that she could not do anything, that at no time she told us that the transfer was not coming, and we told her that even if we had not understood each other (even though the mother of the other family speaks perfectly Romanian since it is her native country) and that the transfer had to be paid, we came 7 people in a 5-seater passenger car and that € 50 was excessive, when an Uber or a BOLT was an average of € 8 or a taxi € 10 from the hotel to the airport of Bucharest.
We told him that as it was a service contracted through the hotel we wanted the bill for the transfer, and he did not give it to us, he told us that it was a matter of the man who made the transfer, that just that day the transfer driver was not in Bucharest, and that the hotel had nothing to do with it (even though it was the hotel that offered and hired him). We asked him for the sheet where the published prices of the transfer service he was offering by phone were and he told us that he had no list.
We told her to give us a claim sheet, and she gave us the internal novelty book that they have at the reception, NICOLETTA pretended that suddenly she did not understand anything in English, and addressed the other mom in Romanian, but she was constantly changing her versions.
In short, a BIG SCAM. Everything suggests that it looked like NICOLETTA's husband had come to get us and they took an extra one home.

BAD EXPERIENCE, HOTEL TO AVOID

My experience at this hotel in Bucharest was simply terrible. Already climbing the stairs you could smell an unpleasant smell, but the real disappointment began once you entered the room. The décor was old, old-fashioned and disturbing, with worn furniture that conveyed a sense of abandonment. The window of the room overlooked a wall of a building, a depressing view that certainly did not help to improve the atmosphere.
Cleanliness was non-existent: there was a lot of dust everywhere and the sheets were visibly dirty, with hair on them, a clear sign that they had not even been changed. The bathroom was just as disgusting: no window, with a limestone-encrusted bathtub that made it impossible to think of using it.
The staff, unfortunately, was the lowest point of the entire experience. For a 4-star hotel, you would expect a minimum of professionalism. Instead, the receptionists were inappropriately dressed, wearing slippers and dressing gowns as if they were at home. During the check-out, I experienced a humiliating episode: I had asked to be able to pay in euros for some drinks from the minibar and they told me that it was fine. Shortly after leaving the hotel, the receptionist chased me down the street, taking me by the arm as if I were a thief, yelling at me along with another employee. They accused me of paying incorrectly because I had used euro coins and not banknotes, something that no one had previously specified. After a long and unpleasant discussion, I had to pay by card, also incurring an additional fee on top of the amount already due.
An embarrassing and offensive episode that sums up the level of this facility. Nothing in this hotel meets the standards a 4-star hotel should have. I definitely do not recommend staying there, either for short or long periods. It was one of the worst experiences of my life.
