A warm welcome to the hotel with warmth, care, and with Trelleborg's best location! Palm Tree Hotel, Best Western Signature Collection is a completely renovated hotel located directly on the pedestrian street in the center of Trelleborg. The hotel's history dates back many years and is still today a meeting place for both pleasure and business. In our newly renovated hotel, you will find 42 uniquely decorated rooms with 96 beds. We want all our guests to enjoy themselves with us and always strive to find solutions that correspond to your wishes. Here you are within walking distance of the train station, bus terminal, and ferry terminal that have connections to the continent. During the extensive renovation, we invested a lot in the environment and have, among other things laid new carpets made from recycled plastic from the sea. The overall theme of the hotel is Trelleborg's hallmark - the palm trees. This shines through the color choices and details when it comes to the interior. The hotel has a lounge, conference room, relaxation room, and bar with a restaurant. Here you are close to everything. One step from the hotel and you are out on the pedestrian street close to cozy shops and the town's pubs and restaurants. Central Trelleborg offers a wonderful small-town feeling with excellent shopping and a varied selection of restaurants and entertainment. Trelleborg is an excellent alternative for those who want to combine city life, with comfortable central accommodation. The city is also called the city of palm trees, as this plant adorns various places around the city. There is quiet city life here, but if you want more pulse, Malmo is only 25 minutes away.

Very little space
We had booked room for two nights for 2 adults and a child of 13 years through Risskov car vacation. Nice welcome to the reception. We got key cards for a very small room with a double bed two dining chairs and a small desk. So there was a sleeping space for the third person in the company. At the reception we were told that it was because they thought that we had an extra bed for the 13-year-old(!). Information about the child's age was otherwise clearly stated in the reservation. On the hotel's website it appears that there can be 2 people in a double room which was what we had been assigned to 3 people. They hurried to put a foldable bed/mattress into the room so there were three sleeping places in extension of each other. Unfortunately, this meant that the room itself became completely useless as it was filled with beds. It was almost impossible to have room for luggage if we would also be able to move around the room. A very narrow path around all the beds were available. The person who had to lie in the middle had to climb over one of the others to get to the toilet. The room is NOT suitable for more than 2.
There is not much light or electricity in the room. There is a ceiling lamp at the door as well as a table lamp at the desk and two small table lamps at the bed. All table lamps use an outlet and there are not too many of them. There were two sockets on one side of the bed-- these were occupied by the bed lights. Two sockets under the TV which was our only narrow path around the bed. And two at the desk, where one was occupied by the table lamp and the other for a small electro. So we had to choose whether to use the power on light or charging the computer/telephone. It was good that we “only” had to be there for two nights and planned to be away from the hotel/room as it had not been possible to do anything but lie/sitting in the bed in the room.
Our reservation also included welcome drink, dinner one day, coffee and cake as well as access to the sauna for 3 people.
We had to make the staff aware of this several times. We ended up without welcome drink and coffee and cake as it became too troublesome and uncomfortable to keep asking for it.
The breakfast on Sunday was with the opportunity to make delicious waffles. A nice selection of bread, vegetables, fruits, yogurt, eggs, bacon and sausages. Despite the fact that it was very standard I would have wished that there was a sign what was on the different plates. Monday was not even behind the waffles, but otherwise the committee was largely the same.
