Seasonal Place

You need to take a long tail boat ride (45 minutes) on the Andaman sea to arrive at the Koh Ngai resort. The rooms are spartan but the crews who haul your baggage and the wait staff in the restaurant are excellent. The food was a bit of a surprise as it is SO good. Try the pizza — no really it is outstanding! Or If you’ve had enough of Thai food by this point do as Jimmy Buffet recommends and enjoy a Cheeseburger in Paradise!

Paid the full price for nothing

We booked an apartment here while we stayed the island nearby, Koh Lipe. After one hour, we noticed that the weather would be in bad conditions for diving. That was our main reason to go to Koh Ngai (and Lipe). So we tried to cancel it via Agoda and got a reply within one minute that it was denied. After that I found an e-mailadres and explained what happened, but I didn’t got an answer. Since it’s high season and it’s very hard to find an accommodation, it wouldn’t be a problem to rent it to someone else. So we paid the full price and didn’t go there. Bad service, not reasonable . So a bad review from us!

Disappointed as could of been a better experience

The staff are lovely as very helpful. The massage on the beach excellent but not for anyone that can’t cope with some discomfort. The beach location is great but unkempt like the resort. We up graded to a beach view bungalow but the condition was very poor. Really basic with shabby decor. I know rustic look is good but it was very poorly maintained and scruffy.

Wonderful beach holidays with icing sugar sand and great views

Very friendly and cheerful staff. Always very helpful. We received an upgrade to a larger bungalow for the three teenagers - thank you very much. We had the beach bungalow 512 with beach access - very nice. At Christmas, games such as balloon shooting and a small fireworks display were organized. Quiet island with no roads, but kayaking and the finest, white sandy beach. We really enjoyed it.
