BUSINESS OF EXCELLENCE

I stayed at this hotel during a storm, I have never come across as many kind and happy and hard-working staff in my entire life. Every member of staff has went out of their way to ensure that my stay was excellent. From the front desk to the breakfast area to the ladies cleaning, from the rooms to the hallways to the steps to the lobby to the dining room all of this has been super clean and keeping things this clean during a storm speaks volumes as to how hard these people work. Another thing that I picked up on instantly is the smiles even during the storm even cleaning up all these messes everyone had a smile and a greeting which is just wonderful when you're stressed and your afraid of the storm and afraid of being in the dark and you come to a place like this and the level of kindness is over and above and I mean over and above. I will most definitely return to this facility with family in tow as well as our fur babies who were just as welcomed as I was.

Frustrating and Aggravating

Frustrating and aggravating
Frustrating and aggravating. Not necessarily the motels fault. However if they priced their pets rates in the first place this wouldn't have snowballed into what was an awful experience. Some responsibility falls on a company called " Reservation Desk" , that I had
actually thought that I was dealing directly with the motel itself. They said that I was fully paid for a stay that included 3 adults and two small dogs. When we arrived the clerk told us we still owed $80.00 for the two dogs two night stay. I told him that, in my incorrect opinion, that I made reservations with the motel directly and the dogs stay was included already. He was polite but kept saying "Expedia" didn't do that. Polite doesn't matter when from my point of view " Expedia" was never involved. And the more he said it the more I felt he was implying I was a liar. In subsequent research when I googled the motel to inquire I apparently got involved with this "Reservation Desk" , again thinking
was
dealing with the Quality Inn Alta Vista reservation desk directly. I have an issue with Reservation Desk too since they told me the price,l already paid, included the dogs. I would avoid that company and hopefully someone will learn from my mistake. However after deeper research I did finally find the website directly linked to Quality Inn Alta Vista/ Choice motels. And after some time I saw they said they charge $10 per dog per night, (which is what Reservation Desk said too). I was charged $20 per dog per night. I leave that as it is. I have to say, in fairness, that the motel, for the price, is decent. And the free breakfast is above average. The place has the normal wear and tear you find if you look hard enough. And it was clean. However in the end, regardless of the who's at fault, I now have a bad enough taste left in my mouth and don't think I will ever stay here again. And I still have no idea how " Expedia" is involved.

It was a little noisy being on the floor with work crews staying at the hotel.
Breakfast could have been better. Instead of scrambled eggs, one day they served hard boiled eggs for breakfast. No appreciated!

A “Demoted” Comfort Inn?

Seriously... This place is better than 99% of the Quality Inns/Quality Suites which I've stayed at. The check-in-check-out, clean/comfortable room, good breakfast, everything was first rate! Indeed, there was only one hint that this relatively new-looking and well-maintained hotel was once a Comfort Inn. And, I'm not going to say what it was or where I saw it.
I'd stay here again.
