Check in was quick & easy. Room was clean. Bed somewhat comfortable. As with so many hotels, you're woken up between 6-6:30 am by people's doors slamming shut. Never a good way to start your day after driving 12 hours.

Hamptons are so reliable.

I rated it a 5...it's not a five-star hotel but it's a 5 out of 5 for what is advertised - good value, good night's sleep, decent hot breakfast. Exactly what we expected...not a lot of frills, but clean and pleasant, courteous service. LOVE the fact that comforters are washed after each guest. Comfortable bed with great pillow options.

Stay Spoiled by HVAC System

An otherwise perfect stay was spoiled by the HVAC system. There was too much play in the thermostat. The outside temperature was around freezing. We set the thermostat to 70 degrees. When the heat came on, it stayed on until it was roasting in the room. When the heat finally went off, it stayed off until it was uncomfortably cold in the room. When the heat would come on again, it would get uncomfortably hot again. I would wake up in the night either freezing or sweating. This is why I am giving this Hampton Inn four stars rather than five.

Great stay! Loved this place.

What a great location to stay at! Cute, clean, wonderful helpful staff…. Can’t recommend enough! From the friendly and decorated lobby ( always with coffee, games, tv), to the “extras”- full hot chocolate bar, anyone? To the Santa mailbox, crafts for the kids… rooms were perfect. Will be back again!

First, If you’re not wanting a good nights sleep this is your hotel. It was the worst night of sleep I have ever gotten at a hotel. The walls were paper thin. You could hear every single door on the floor slam all through the night. You could hear the people walking above us and down the hall.
Second, I would reconsider booking through Expedia- this is our 3rd time booking through Expedia and have had so many issues with the hotel and Expedia because once you book through Expedia- nothing can be changed or adjusted at the hotel. We tried to change our reservation in the allotted time from 2 nights to 1. It was a two day fiasco to try to get this changed. Expedia made it very difficult to make this change even though we were still in the window of being able to make a change without being charged. We also had an issue with our room at the hotel and when we tried to change rooms the hotel said we could not because we booked through a 3rd party. To all those who are wanting to book through Expedia because you think your getting a good deal I would think again or just make sure you are not wanting to make any changes whatsoever to you reservation and room and also don’t expect to easily speak to customer service at Expedia .
