Awesome new Deer Valley hotel!

The new Grand Hyatt Deer Valley is beautiful. Our ski weekend was perfect thanks to the wonderful accommodations, staff and food and beverage at the hotel. The 20 inches of fresh snow made things even better.
The hotel restaurants including the Speakeasy, Remington Restaurant & Bar, banquet space, public space are all gorgeous. Rooms are spacious, and beds are some of the most comfortable. The fitness center has the best views of any I have been in.
The ease of getting on the mountain is fabulous. A short walk or ride on the tram and Deer Valley ski rentals are right at the lift. There is a ton of new terrain and lifts opening next year. Winter or summer, this hotel is going to be a hit. There is alot of new development going up in this area so for now, the hotel stands alone in its space. Well done, Hyatt! Can't wait to see East Deer Valley develope!

Ideal Customer Service

Kateryna was an absolute angel during check-in. She helped us get on track and was so comforting when we realized we booked our stay for the wrong weekend. The service was great, and the property has incredible views to go with it. Lobby’s high ceilings created impressive space.

Nice but needs some improvements to be Deer Valley!

The hotel is nice but skip the rentals at the hotel through Ski Butlers and rent at Christy's or somewhere else. The prices are stupid, the equipment is not great and the service is meh. Not what you expect in Deer Valley.
Otherwise the room was nice, the pool area and hot tub is nice, the restaurant was good. The hotel feels a little like a convention hotel but is pretty and comfortable. Rooms a good but

Nice Place Terrible Experience

Resort was beautiful and food was great. Other than that it was a disaster. They lost our reservation, lost our dinner reservations, locked us out of our room, and double charged us for the room. The resort is also very far away from everything. If you don’t want to eat at the resort it is a long wait for a $50-$60 uber each way. Plus, they don’t have a shuttle to Deer Valley Base so if you have any beginners with you that is another expensive Uber twice a day. To top it off, the restraints had excellent food but service was extremely SLOW!

Not family-friendly and no perks for globalist status

The hotel is beautiful and the location will be great once all the new runs and east village are completed. For now, I would choose to stay elsewhere. It is difficult to get back to the hotel from Snow Park Lodge. We were stuck with all the lifts down and the main run to get back to the hotel closed due to weather. We asked the hotel if they could send the shuttle for an exception and they told us they couldn’t and we just needed to take an uber. We had small kids with us that need to be in car seats so we can’t just get in an uber. As globalists, it was frustrating that they were unwilling to help/accommodate in this unique situation that was out of our control. There is an unreliable shuttle that will drop you off at the gondola, but it took forever to get picked up. We waited over an hour and the deer valley staff ended up making an exception and using one of their shuttles to drive a group of us back to the hotel. Because of this, we weren’t able to turn our ski rentals in on time and had to walk through the lobby without shoes on (no boot policy). The guys at Ski Butlers were nice but we rented over at snow park due to ski school, so then they were limited with what they could help with.
No upgrades for globalist and unwilling to go out of their way to make our stay special at all. The club lounge was closed and there’s not really anywhere to just get a non alcoholic drink or snack after the cafe closes without doing a sit down restaurant, which was not ideal with tired kids. At other hyatts, they have stocked the fridge for us or put some snacks in the room to make up for the lounge being closed, but there were no such accommodations. Having globalist status, we were very disappointed in the level of service for such a high category hotel in a luxury place like deer valley. We will be choosing to stay elsewhere next ski season.
