Memorable, in a good way

Ok, 4.75. Not amazing, but really a good place to stay. Immaculately clean, small-ish but not tiny rooms, stylish, fun, and comfortable. It's not "fancy", but it was a memorable stay. No downsides. I agree with all the positive reviews. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Great stay as usual. Our go to spot in Custer. It was a very cold and breezy night, the room heater took some time to warm the room up. Looking forward to our next visit.

Beautiful Mom & Pop Motel in Custer, SD!

What a great, little place and awesome owners! Came into Custer mid-afternoon and after cruising the main drag, decided that we wanted to stay at the Rocket Inn. The motel is painted bright red and (bright) white. The exterior colors exude "clean". After having a nice chat with the owner, she let me know that our room would be ready in about an hour, but checked us in. My wife and I went and toured the Chief Crazy Horse Monument, ate dinner and then came back to the motel. What a great place! After spending over 30+ years on the road in my job prior to retiring and being in my share of motels/hotels, the Rocket Inn takes "first place" for room cleanliness. What a great and cute place. This is an older motel, but everything is kept in tip-top shape. If you're passing through Custer and need a place to stay, this should be your first choice.

A perfectly located gem!

We recently stayed at the Rocket Motel in Custer, wow what a fun place, a little blast from the past. It is so convenient to most anywhere you want to go in the Custer area. The owners could not have been more pleasant. Our room was so cute, quiet, immaculately clean with great Wi-Fi & TV and excellent free coffee and hot chocolate. We would highly recommend The Rocket Motel to anyone visiting Custer!

Retro! Very clean and quiet. It is obvious the owner takes great pride in the rooms. No breakfast...but the coffee was excellent. Smaller rooms, but everything is perfect.
