This hotel wasn't too bad. It did feel like it was a little rundown, a good update would be nice. The one thing I was very disappointed by was the hot tub. I specifically chose this hotel because I knew I would want a good soak in a hot tub after a week vacation. The hot tub was not functioning, it was cold and gross. The breakfast was good, with a lot of options (hot and cold).

Definitely not a good experience. I wanted to take a hot shower when I arrived. Stayed at this hotel after a cruise out of Galveston, Texas. The water came out yellowish and smelled of the sewer. When I informed the front desk I was told because I booked through a 3rd party (hotels.com) so I'd need to talk to hotels.com.
Overall this hotel didn't live up to what I was expecting. It was a huge disappointment as i used my points I earned to stay somewhere I though was going to be nice. This place wasn't it. My kids told me they never want to go to Houston, Texas, mostly based on the bad experience at this hotel.

Dirty, AC issues and Roaches.

I checked into the hotel with my two young kids and the room we were given had something wrong with the AC. When it kicked on it was so loud you could hear it out in the hallway. I asked to change rooms since it would keep my children and I up at night. They switched me to another room and the moment I walked in it was HOT in the room. I looked at the thermostat which was set at 68 and the temp in the room was 85. So I was switched to another room. This one looked fine, the AC worked and no loud noise. I took my kids to dinner that night and we got back to the room around 9pm. When I turned on the lights as we came in bugs scattered from the kitchen counter. I was able to catch a couple on my camera but the others scurried off in hiding. I believe they were little roaches. When I asked about the issues with all three rooms I was told they were having AC issues along with bug and roach problems. The worst part is when I asked to change rooms because the AC was so loud, I was asked if I had unfolded the bed because they would want to try and rent it to someone else! Furthermore, walking down the hallway it appears there was a dog that lifted its leg on a wall and there was dried urine on the wall and carpet. I am attaching pictures, the video of the AC won't upload. I emailed Hilton about my experience and have not received any response thus far.

I checked in with my two children around 11:30pm and as we got to the room, we found a small, live snake on the rug, right in front of our room door. I immediately asked the receptionist for help but their response was “if you can’t handle it yourself, how do you expect me to do it?”. This was the only staff member available all night and despite the urgency, no one else came to assist us. I asked to speak to the manager but was declined. I then requested another room on a higher floor but was told there were none available. We got in gingerly, cautiously stayed inside keeping the door tightly shut while watching for any signs of the snake. After about an hour, I was offered a different room with just one queen bed which was too small for the three of us, so I declined. By around 3am, after what felt like an eternity, I checked and found the snake was gone. As we were checking out the next day, the new staff informed me that they had removed the snake in the morning. This was by far the most frightening and distressing experience I have ever had at a hotel.
