The Ritz is always a great stay

I have stayed here multiple times for business. The staff is wonderful and the hotel is extremely clean and quiet. Everything about this hotel is top-notch. I would recommend staying here if you’re looking to be near lots of restaurants and things to do in the city.

EXCELLENCE IS A HALLMARK OF RITZ CARLTON

Great three-night stay. Comfortable king size in room 631 with nice furnishings and a large shower. Room was service twice a day by pleasant staff. If you enter from Canal Street side you will need to take a set of elevators up to the third level and then go to another set of elevators near the lobby to reach your room. Everything is elegant and top notch as expected from Ritz Carlton.

I've stayed in many hotels here in New Orleans and my stay here at the Ritz was by far yhe best outside of the Roosevelt. Everything was to perfection, and the staff was exceptional!

Ritz-Carlton New Orleans: poor service

If you have Marriott status and expect to receive benefits, this is not a good choice, as they don't honor most Marriott benefits, except late check-out. And we were unimpressed with the service.
Our front desk check-in person- Janice (or Janess?), was not helpful and perhaps a little rude. We told her there were 2 separate reservations (because my husband and I were separately redeeming award nights) and we asked her if we can stay at the same room - She did not try to help or explain that we needed to separately check in for the second reservation later.
Further, Janice wrote down and told us the wrong room number when she gave us our room keys. We had to come back down and tell her that the room keys were not working-- she did not acknowlege her mistake or apologize. Instead, she acted irritated like we were bothering her.
The room was clean and nicely decrated but a little outdated. We stayed there 3 nights. They forgot to leave shampoo/conditioner/shower gel in the bathroom when we arrived. We had to ask twice (after waiting hours after the first request) before they were brought to the room.
When we were ready to use the pool, we called down to ask location, but when we got there, the pool was closed for cleaning (which wasn't mentioned when we called or anywhere else), which was frustrating, as we could have planned another time to use it, but at that point couldn't fit it in our schedule. The doorman, Sean, was very friendly and helpful. He told us about the hotel amenities (unlike the front-desk clerk).
We wouldn't stay here again.

Great hotel, opt for club level.

We have stayed at this property twice, once in October 2024, and once in March 2025, with both times being amazingly wonderful. The first time, we stayed in the club level as a splurge. This March, we stayed in the regular part of the hotel with club level access. The rooms are spacious, perfectly clean, and just perfect. The hotel staff is helpful and nice.
I highly recommend opting for the club lounge access. It is money well spent with a great team of staff who can answer any questions you may have about the city. They are as chatty as you would like without being annoying. If you want to talk for half an hour, they are ready and willing. If you want a quiet snack, you won’t feel the need to have to chat if you don’t want to. The club lounge has a nice stock of about 8 wines and several beer options as well as mixed drinks that are all complimentary. There is a Bloody Mary station on the weekend where you can make your own. Friday night, there is caviar brought to the table. Meals snacks are out from 7am until 10pm. Being a Marriott property, Pepsi products are available for the taking with Coke products upon request. If you are disappointed in the hotel or club, your standards are way too high for any hotel.
