Good location and great customer service

Visiting NYC for Christmas so the location is great. The rooms are a good size for NYC and are clean. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful; however they are wearing coats at the front desk because it is so cold in the lobby area. Marriott you really need to fix this and not have the staff working in this condition.

Why you need to avoid The Marriott at Brooklyn Bridge.

We used to live in BKLYN so when we're visiting we've stayed there bc it's near our old hood. But it's always a lousy experience. The rooms are dated and institutional, like a depressing nursing home. The walls are paper thin so if there's rowdy people or something like that in nearby rooms or in the hallway, you're not going to sleep. The worst part, it's extremely expensive. I'd recommend the Ace Hotel in downtown Brooklyn or the Battery Park Sonder. Similar prices but much nicer, cozier rooms and a good vibe in the lobby and bar. Avoid this Marriott!

Scammy practices, Terrible service, poor conditions

Beware the Marriott in Brooklyn! When we arrived, they told us that we were, without our consent, enrolled in their resort program, which charges 30 dollars per day. Moreover, their housekeeping services were incredibly inconsistent. Lastly, their walls were not noise proof! We could hear every scream, stomp, and holler from the other room.
This hotel is scammy! Please be careful when booking here. I am truly disappointed.

Cold and no breakfast

At $400 a night and they can’t provide any breakfast? The only thing on offer was a makeshift coffee counter with a few options similar to what you would find at an airport. Guest waited in a long line snaking throughout the lobby. It was a shambles.
Also the lobby and common areas of the hotel were really cold.

Lovely Property, Terrible Staff

If management just fired all the people who work here, the hotel would actually be really nice. The location is fantastic - right downtown, within walking distance to restaurants, delis, gym, etc. The rooms are much more spacious than anything I'd stayed in in Manhattan.
But holy moly, the administration couldn't be more incompetent. After a long day of travel, I checked in and wanted to take a shower, only to find hair all over the bathtub and sink and floor so it was obvious the room hadn't been cleaned. So instead of moving me to a new room, they sent up housekeeping - at 10pm - to clean the bathtub in front of me, while I was trying to eat dinner and take a work call. Talk about awkward and disruptive. Then, they offered a measly set of points or $50 to compensate (mind you, the going rate for a hotel room is around $670-700/night. The whole thing felt like a poorly scripted dramedy, leaving me wondering if anyone at this property actually values their guests' experience.
For the price, you’d expect top-notch service. Instead, you’ll likely leave with a lot of frustration and a story to tell. Avoid.
