Bad experience, dirty room.
Not a great experience. The couch in the room was so dirty (it looked like someone sat on a chocolate bar) and the staff, while friendly, was not very helpful. We stayed there for our wedding night and got a room block for our guests so we expected a little more than what we got, which was a dirty room and no help (e.g., we asked for champagne glasses for the bridal party and more chairs to be brought to the room for hair & makeup purposes and got neither).

One big "meh"
Was here for a conference this past weekend and wasnt impressed. The check in process was pleasant and the woman at the desk was very nice. I think the deal with Danfords is that they have different buildings and different rooms. If you stay in a room that faces the water with a balcony and fireplace of course you are going to think the room is nice. I, however, was put in the first floor of the Edgewater building that was clean but extremely plain (not even a real closet) and was no different than staying at a motel 6. There was wifi and a t.v. but no streaming services if that is what you desire. Two bottles of water in the room and a keurig. Upon checking out I noticed a "transient" fee which I told included wifi ,parking and the water. I didn't need a parking pass. There is nothing offered in the lobby except coffee even though it looked like there was continental breakfast offered at one time. The only good thing about Danford's is the location. The food isn't anything to write home about and hasn't been for a long time I would suggest going to Fifth Season across the street. When booking be specific about which room you desire.

WARNING THIEFS someone is stealing from the customers inside the rooms.
Be AWARE THIEFS terrible customer service housekeepers are thief’s alone with the managers. They go into your room still from you. I reported the missing stuff the front desk person after me making the complaint and reported the missing item. She bumbled “whatever” . Will report to my company will do business somewhere else. The place needs an update showers don’t work well and the building is falling apart.

Housekeeping issues
Housekeeping is a problem for this hotel. It took two phone calls to the front desk just to get 4 bath towels. We left our room early on Saturday and returned 6 hours later and the room was not refreshed. After calling the front desk it took another hour to get minimal refreshing services.

Too little for business traveler
Very bad layout, hard to find room, drunk teens bothering guests on road and in parking lot (and no security present), room without any desk or chair so no way to use laptop. The room thermostat was hard to find and the display did not work. It was impossible to control the room temp so I just turned it off.
