Airport Information - Arriving
Dubai International Airport is the main airport in Dubai comprised of three passenger terminals, with Terminal 3 as the base of Emirates flights. Once you have arrived at the airport you can access the Dubai Metro directly from Terminal 3 in order to journey into the center of Dubai. While you are at the airport there are many things to do to pass the time including a wide range of world-class shops and duty-free stores and a large choice of dining and drinking establishments. Other amenities available include free Wi-Fi and many luxurious airport lounges where you can wait for your flight in comfortable surroundings.
Airport Information - Departing
Kotoka International Airport is Accra’s primary airport situated just outside of the city so getting there is only a short journey. The airport itself is home to two terminals and offers an ample range of facilities and amenities so you won’t be short on things to do. You can find duty-free shopping at the airport alongside a couple of places to eat and drink, while the airport also provides free Wi-Fi so you can get online. Alternatively, if you are looking to wait for your flight someone more exclusive you may consider entering one of the airport lounges available.
What to Expect in Dubai
While some nationals can enter Dubai without requiring a visa, Ghanaian nationals will have to obtain a visa first before making the journey. In Dubai you can expect the weather to be a lot hotter than Accra over the summer, but the climate cools down significantly over the winter. You can easily get around Dubai on the Dubai Metro, while rental car companies are available at the airport if you want your own car.
