In Dubai the two international airports serving the country are Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC). Dubai International Airport is the primary airport in Dubai, although the newer Al Maktoum International Airport is still undergoing development and is projected to become the main airport in the country in the future. There are not currently any direct flights available from Miami to Dubai so you will need to make a stopover if you wish to make this journey.

Airport Information - Arriving
Dubai International Airport ranks as the world’s busiest airport in terms of international passengers serving over 83 million travelers annually. The airport boasts a huge range of amenities so you’re sure to find something to do whether it’s exploring the many world-class shops or enjoying a bite to eat at a café or restaurant. The airport itself has three passenger terminals which you can easily travel between either on foot, by metro or by bus. Once you have landed at the airport, the easiest way to reach the center of Dubai is either by taxi or on the Dubai Metro which is linked to Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. There is a shuttle bus to and from Terminal 2.
Al Maktoum International Airport is Dubai’s second airport. It is not yet at full capacity and is still undergoing development. Despite this, you can still find an ample range of amenities such as shops and restaurants so you won’t be lacking in things to do. When you have arrived at the airport it is possible to travel into Dubai by public bus, although taxis are also available to take you directly to your destination.

Miami International Airport is the main airport in Miami and also one of the United States’ busiest. It's made up of three passenger terminals. Public transport options are available to reach the airport, while extensive parking can be found for those who will be driving themselves. Once you have arrived at Miami International Airport there are many amenities available to help pass the time. In addition to its many shops which includes duty free stores, visitors can choose from one of many dining and drinking options to satisfy your appetite before flying out.
What to Expect in Dubai
In Dubai the weather is hot throughout the year so be prepared for a lot of sun and high temperatures. The best time to visit is between November and March. US nationals are able to acquire a visa upon arriving in Dubai, while the country is 8 hours ahead of Miami so make sure you put your clocks forward when you land. Dubai itself is easy to navigate due to its excellent metro system and network of buses so you can explore the city on foot without a problem.
